I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I see a space separator between multiple emails - I will try that now - why is the whole command redirected to reading another path < /path/to/body ? can you clarify what that does?

This is to get a body from a file into the mail.

You could also do:

echo "This is the body" | mailx -s "subject" rec1@domain.com rec2@domain.com rec3@domain.org
