Unable to mount store on drive with bad block.

We have an Exchange 2003 server with a drive that has started going bad. The event log shows I/O errors and that the drive has a bad block. All the information stores on that drive mount but one. The log files for all Information stores are also on this drive. We have moved some of the log files off to another drive without incident it is just this one store that won,t mount. One other symptom is that when we attempt to mount that store it takes the whole storage group offline.

Any ideas?

Bad sector is causing a problem.
I would move everything off of that drive.
Then you should use eseutil to check the problem store and probably you will need to repair it with eseutil also.

Before you use the /P for any repair operation, I would recommend to make a file level backup copy of that store database files first - so you have a backup copy if the repair result is not good.
