"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Kurajesh,

Is it just the push-to-select function that isn't working or does the button not even allow you to navigate around the screen? Either way, it sounds like the handset has a physical fault. If the unit is still under warranty, get it repaired or exchanged. If the unit isn't under warranty, you may need to pay for a repair.

Hope this helps,

usually with hard pressure from being in a pocket or something similar, the contact membrane underneath that 'click' is likely punctured, therefore the system does not acknowledge the press.  As MikeTheRelic says, you need to put it in for repair as the whole button/keypad membrane will need replaced and its a sealed unit unless you have one of the very small T5 & T6 torx screwdriver kits to do the repair yourself (and source the part).  Your carrier can normally do this repair under warranty, or any decent mobile shop, if its out of warranty.
