SIP priority & ASA5505

Hi all experts!

I'm in the process of changing our telecom central to a newer system which runs SIP directly (through the firewall), instead of a separate SIP box.

I am a newbie to Cisco ASA, and know nothing about the so-called SIP. I've received information regarding which ports to open, and the public IP's I must allow in the firewall.

My question is: What do I do regarding priority of the SIP lines. Do I have to configure anything in the ASA, or will it automatically detect this so-called SIP trunk and do priority?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
