I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

if the SAN is Equallogic and if the workstation has access to the iSCSI network,  you can install SAN HQ (a free tool for Equallogic managment) to monitor the SAN.   Alternatively you can you use the Group Managment page to manage the SAN as well from the workstation

If your workstation has no access to iSCSI network but only management access,  you would need to create a dedicated managment network on Equallogic SAN to monitor the SAN from LAN network using SAN HQ or Group Managment webpage.
