Hi Beetri,

The message is self explanatory.  DB2 won't convert from Japanese (codepage 930) to codepage 819.  819 is one of the more generic codepages, with support for quite a few languages.

You'll need to run the data through a database/table with a different codepage.

This link describes all of the IBM supported codepages, but not a matrix of valid conversions.

Since codepage 930 is a DBCS codepage, there's not much chance of any representation in codepage 819. At least two steps are going to be required. I'm not at all certain about the first step. Handling a DBCS .CSV file isn't something I've seen anyone do before.

I wouldn't expect a useful final result in codepage 819 anyway. It simply doesn't have enough code points available to represent all of the possible characters.
