Programmatically Create Outlook 2010 iCalendar

Is there a way to create an Outlook 2010 iCalendar (.ics) file using Visual Basic or ASP.Net?  If so,  please provide a working example.  Thanks

You may try create the ics file using vb coding, with reference to it's specification.

Sample : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4931316/how-to-create-ics-file-programmatically
Spec : http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2445.txt

Or in case a more robust solution is required, you may consider to use this API, which allow better support.  A VB example is included as well :
