Hi,

We are planning to propose Exchange 2010 native email archiving support to client who are currently using EMC SourceOne archiving solution for email.

We need data points for Exchange 2010 archiving against EMC sourceone along with licensing information to calculate ROI.

Need this info urgntly.

Any pointer will be appreciated.

Licensing is the easy one. For EACH archive you use in 2010 you must have an Eterprise CAL AS WELL AS a standard CAL for that mailbox.

Obviously you still need the standard CAL whatever archive solution you need so the only additional cost, in terms of licenses, is the Exchange Eterprise CAL per mailbox you enable archiving for.  If you already use any of the other Enterprise features then you will already need enterprise CALs so no extra cost.
