Search and Deleted Items folders in Outlook 2010 pst files

Is is possible to either delete or hide the "search folders" and "deleted iems" folders that appear in each pst file created in Outlook 2010 / windows 7?

The big bosses are complaining that they are taking up  viewing space in each folder.

In searching i can't seem to find anyway of doing it.   But I was hoping someone on here may have a creative way of accomplishing this task.

These are system default folder items in a Personal Folder

There is no way to remove them, nor is there any way to hide them.

"complaining that they are taking up  viewing space in each folder", Now thats funny!

Sadly, the default folders cannot be deleted. If done so programmatically they will get recreated. Read here for COM add-in options:
