I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What type of email account(s) have you got configured?

If SMTP / POP3, your ISP may be having problems with their server and if that is the case, this is quite normal.  Have you called them?

First, verify you can login to your email via the webmail if you are using Gmail or your ISPs email. If you cannot, contact the provider or reset the password for the webmail, then update your Outlook password.

Is your work PC on the same ISP? Some ISPs do not allow connections via POP to their mail servers from foreign ISPs as a security measure. You could call the ISP to confirm.
