Two wireless routers

I have a Verizon fios router and a Belkin ND 600 wireless router
The connection comes in through a coax to the Verizon fios router (MI424WR)
I have the Belkin ND600 DB attached because it has support for USB devices, which is why I installed it.

The problem is that I have two wireless network connections displaying. I've tried to disable the fios router from broadcasting, but it still broadcasts.

And when I try to connect to the network being broadcast by the Belkin, it refuses the connection, saying that it is unable to establish a connection; the network troubleshooter then indicates that I've failed to select a preferred network and that I may have an ethernet cable loos or not plugged in.

I don't believe either one of the routers has a client mode I can enable.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium

My goal is to have the Belkin router only broadcast.
