change server/database for crystal reports

I have fifty Crystal reports .  Befeore the database  were pointing to a  different server. However the database was move to a new server.
What steps need to do so it would be painless rewriting/formating  the report because the data base and fields are the same anyway.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

To do this using just CR you will need to open a report and change the database using

Database menu -> set datasource location,
create a connection to the new server in the bottom half of the dialog and 'replace with'
select update,
close,
save the report

you will need to do thisindividually for each report.

There are also applications available to allow you to update groups of reports simultaneously, some of these are listed here : http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html#doc

I saw that I can do it individually. Is there a code or macro to change using groups rather than single files.

It is probably possible to do this programatically but you would need to write this yourself and woudl probabbly be a real pain to do.

It's probably more cost efficient to purchase one of the report managers on my previous link.
