Internet Explorer 9 - retain saved passwords before reset internet explorer

I have a user that has altered several setting in their Internet Explorer 9 that I need to do a "reset internet explorer back to their default conditions".  He does not want to lose his saved passwords he's stored from visited websites.

Is there a way to backup a file or something then re-import them back into Internet Explorer 9 so he won't lose his stored passwords?  I read somewhere you can go into Control Panel-> User Accounts-> and credentials manager to back them up but I don't see anything related to Internet Explorer in here.

Thank you!

They are encrypted in the registry so as to be useless except to the user. Otherwise anyone with acces to the computer could grab them. Long answer. Short answer is No. Reset clears them. Ask the user to document the passwords.

Thank you. I was happy to help. Sorry there is not a better way, but I do like that IE9 is taking security seriously now.  .... Thinkpads_User
