How do I re-install and register C4DLL.DLL

Hi,

Does anybody out there have some good advise about how to re-install and register this system file on a W7 machine. I have a client machine running a database client where I get an error that it can't launch because the C4DLL.DLL is missing. I was thinking that I can copy it from another W7 machine that holds the DLL but I don't know where to copy it to and how to register it on the machine where it's missing.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Use regsvr32 command line to register the DLL

Thanks Govvy.

In which directory location should it be copied to prior to registration?

Yes it should be in the system32 folder.

Unless you're running a 64bit system and the program that want to use that file is a 32bit program then put that file in the SysWOW64 folder.

Check this out, something similar.
HijackThis reports missing files on 64-bit Systems:
