Trouble Installing DPM Agent on Hyper-V VMs

I'm trying to do the automated install of the client from our Primary DPM server.  I get the same failure on all our VM servers.  I have the agent installed on our hosts and am able to do snapshots but I'm wanting to do some file-level backups now.  Haven't tried manually installing/attaching the clients as I'd rather not.  Below is the error, any ideas?  WMI service is running and the standard 'Allow' is setup in the firewall exceptions.

Install protection agent on <servername> failed:
Error 346: DPM is unable to retrieve the configuration information from <servername>
Error details: The request is not supported
Recommended action: Ensure that the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service is started. If the firewall is turned on, on <servername> make sure that an exception for WMI is created

I have completely turned off the firewall and still receive the same results.  On my DPM server there is also a corresponding event, equally vauge as the original:

The description for Event ID 997 from source MSDPM cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

A non-fatal failure instance has been detected for process 'msdpm'. This will be reported to Microsoft.

Problem Details:

Well, I decided to try the manual install and that fails as well.  A fact that I forgot to mention was that these VMs are RODCs.  I'm starting to think permissions are playing a large role.

That did it.  Quite the hassle for all RODCs in our domain.... Thanks!
