Display Name Vs Simple Display Name

In Exchange General Tab for a user, there is a Display Name field, I believe that 's what gets displayed in the Outlook address book.
in Exchange Advanced tab, there is a Simple Display Name. I wonder where does this show up in Outlook, OR whatever the purpose of it.

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It will not show up in outlook until n unless if you have any specific use.
For ex: If you want to change the simple Display Name as an External Display Name, you can do that.
