Full disk encryption of USB drive

Hi guys, I need to encrypt a USB drive with about 2TB of data on it and store the decryption key seperately.

The plan is to send the USB drive overseas encrypted and then send the decryption key seperately. Is there software that will do this (free preferably) as this is a one off task.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I guess truecrypt would be the a good way to do this. It is secure, free and widely used: http://www.truecrypt.org/

I suggest you create a 2TB encrypted truecrypt file on it and mount it as a separate drive. Then you can put your files in it. Once it's unmounted you cannot access the files unless the key is provided.
