asked on
difference between Websites ISAPI filter and Default Website ISAP filter?
HI,
I have this isapi_redirect filter (Tomcat redirect connector).
One example tells me to add this filter tothe Websites (of IIS) and another tells me to add on Default Websites.
http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/webserver_howto/apache.html
How does this filter apply when on Website and Default web site?

I got confused. I have sub sites.
It just has to do where the filter is loaded.
This configuration provides you the advantage to load multiple ISAPI redirectors with independent configurations on the same server. If it is loaded at the Default Websites level, then it is a SERVER wide configuration. All websites will inherit the configuration. If you load it at the website level, it is only configured for that site.
Hope it help clarify,
