The server is pop3. &nbsp;The inbox (folder) was 1.8GB when this problem started. [The problem - It shows &quot;downloading message 1 of 37 to &lt;account name&gt; - &nbsp;but nothing gets downloaded )<br />

&nbsp;I created another folder 2012-inbox and copied everything from Inbox into it. &nbsp;Now the inbox is empty. I compacted it and retried. &nbsp;Same result.<br />

Setup another mail client - Outlook express - and it downloads the messages. &nbsp;So there is nothing wrong on the server side. &nbsp;<br />

I tried the repair inbox option under properties - it didn't help either<br />
