I have a splitted DB on a network. One of the user is logged on. De DB-backend has a lock-file.
Is there a way to delete this lock-file?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The lock must be present to allow more than one user to open the file.
The file should be deleted automatically once all users have closed the database.

If it does not disappear when all users are logged out then you can delete it.

The user has not logoff and i need to compact the DB.
Then you (or your system/network admin)  needs to kill that user's process first.
