Sealed Racks
I am getting ready to build a server room in a new office and it will be my first
I have seen many racks that are enclosed having the glass front and or rear doors vs the perforated metal type that you see mostly.
I will only have 1 rack so will it be possible to use this type and a portable ac unit like this http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/model.cfm?txtModelID=4462 for cooling or is that a bad idea?
Or should I go with perforated racks?
This will be a free medical clinic that will be cooled but temp setpoint may be set higher during off hours

So it sounds like it may be better to cool the whole room and use a perforated rack?
