BIOS password
If someone used a password to protect their laptop and this password was on the BIOS, is there a way to crack this or a re-image? I have never had good news when someone bios protects the password and then forgets it.

Reset BIOS removing CMOS battery and password might be deleted.

This password cypher the hard disk? if this happens, removing CMOS battery can not resolve the problem and need to destroy all data.

This is a Lenovo laptop. I did find a hackers third party KMX-LCD board that is supposed to find all password on Lenovo products. Problem is, I hate to pay on a credit card to a hacker site. I know the company will now allow this and I cannot blame them.

I thank you all. I would have just given even points as all answers helped. I ended up getting the third part hardware that goes in and finds the password. The part is worth the money to recover this guys data. It was only $69 and worth the money, but only works with Lenovo. Again thanks all for the help.
