I downloaded and installed the PDF  iFilter from Adobe at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4025 and still cant find text using Windows 7 Desktop Search. I have tried it with Acrobat X and 9.4 and neither index my existing files. If I create a NEW PDF though, and save it -- then it will find the relevant text.

I've tried  the Foxit iFilter with similar results.
I'm running Windows-7 64-bit and have followed the suggestion of some support threads to add the iFilter to the Environment Variable for PATH with no success. The laptop is a corporate system running McAfee Enterprise Anti-Virus v8.7 which can not be disabled. I do, however have administrative rights to the PC.
