Microsoft Word 2010: Can I globally change the references to Numeric Superscripted References

Last Modified: 2012-06-22
Dear Experts,
I have a document written with Microsoft Word 2010 and I am using its bibliography tools to insert references.  I am using APA format where the references in the middle of the sentence looks like this: (Smith 2001).  Is there a way to globally change them all to the format with the numeric superscript (that is you number from 1 to n with the number in a small font raised above the bottom of the line after the fact you want to reference).
Best Wishes,
