I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The RDP version you are using seems to be old. You are suing version 6. Please go ahead and upgrade it to version 7 from the following link: There could be a version mismatch causing the problem.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969084

Also, run an sfc /scannow from the command prompt.
Start > Run > cmd - Then run "sfc /scannow"
This should fix any dll related problems. As we can see from the Modname:msvcrt.dll is crashing.

Also, are you using any application in RDP. If yes, it might be causing the crashes.

One more thing. You can try to do a cleanboot - Start > run > msconfig - Services tab - Check box "Hide All Microsoft Services" - Then click Disable All, Apply - Same for startup tab - Disable All, Apply , OK and reboot. This should make sure that any Non microsoft services affecting the RDP, would be disabled.

The steps mentioned should be performed in sequence mentioned.

Let me know if this does not help.

Thanks & Good Luck !!
