Does the remote access tool (remote desktop connection) on XP workstations “work” to be able to remote onto any windows server – if you have permissions that is. I just wondered if the tool has to be a certain version to remote onto newer versions of windows server?  The tool is called mstsc.exe if I click its properties. Also – where does it get its list of terminal servers from? I just opened the tool and clicked the <browse for more…> option of the computer parameter text box – and it only seems to list citrix servers. So are these the only ones you can remote onto – or if you no the server name can you just add it manually? Can all servers accept RDC – or just some such as citrix servers. If its just some how do you remotely access the non citrix servers from a workstation?
