We have an sbs 2003 currently with a modem containing 2 slots that are not currently in use although our business has 5 fax lines that are always in use and always busy and we are looking to switch all fax lines from individual faxes to go directly through the server. I read that a sbs 2003 only supports a maximum of 4 fax lines which is fine although I also read a lot of issues regarding fax modems. I found a multitech modem 2 with three ports labeled: line, phone, and leased. If we want to connect 4 fax lines with different phone numbers to our server what would be the best route? Can a phone and line port both be used as a fax line in externally combined with our internal PCI 2 port modem that is already present?

I would appreciate any imput as this is completely new to me.
