Cross Forest Mailbox Migration Exh 2007 -> Exch 2010

Last Modified: 2012-05-12
Hi All,

Wanted some opionons on the following scenario.

Company A was purchased by Company B. Company A was a branch and part of a global Forest/Domain. They must now make there own Forest/Domain and migrate all there users accounts and mailbox to the new domain before the global company cuts them off.

We I am interested in hearing about is people experience with migrating mailboxes from one forest to a seperate forest. Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010.

I was thinking powershell script to export all mailboxes as PST to a usb hard drive and reimport to the new server.

Was curious to know how they would attached back to their ad account when coming from a different domain or any other recommendations.

Thanks in advance
