New Veeam 5 Backup Fails

We have a new installation of Veeam 5 on Windows 7 SP1 x64 logged in as the domain admin.  Our first backup job is generating the following error:

Publishing catalog session
PrepStorageForWriteEx failed '\\10.0.0.12\VeeamPermanent\All VM Backup2012-01-19T210643.vbk'
Client error: Access is denied
Failed to create or open file [\\10.0.0.12\VeeamPermanent\All VM Backup2012-01-19T210643.vbk].

Veeam is configured to backup 6 VM's from 2 ESXi hosts (no vcenter).  We are backing up to a Synology shared folder via unc path.  The Veeam services are running as domain admin and we can read/write to the share.

File Copy and VM Copy jobs from Veeam can write to the share without any problems.  By watching the shared folder after starting the job, the vbk appears on the share briefly and then dissappears, the job fails shortly after that.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I can read/write to the share from windows logged in as domain admin and the Veeam Backup Service is running as domain admin.  Veeam File Copy and VM Copy jobs work no problem but the Veeam Backup Job does not.
Create and try another domain administrator account. check share permissions
are the ESXi hosts licensed with free keys or purchased licenses?
Purchased licenses.  We tried another domain administrator account and we still get the same error.
do you see the VM creating a snapshot at the beginning of the backup job?
We were able to resolve this after changing some settings on the Synology share, we overlooked the setting `Allow editing Windows Access Control List`.

After turn that on the backup was able to write to the share and complete successfully.
