PATA Hard Drive Connector
Hey there!

I opened up my first netbook today (HP mini 1000) to look at replacing a failed hard drive.  I'm not familiar with the form factor but from my research it looks like a PATA drive (Puny ATA? :P ).

I'd like to see if I can pull some data from this drive but I don't have the proper "____ to USB or SATA" connector.  I'm thinking this might work but I'm not sure:

I guess I'm just looking for confirmation that this will work.

TIA!

That's an IDE drive - you should be able to use an enclosure with an internal IDE interface: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182145

Hey Guys.  Thanks for the responses.

Ludden - I've got one of those and I love it!  I think I paid like 3 bucks for it.  Unfortunately no ZIF connector.

Callandor and Core - ZIF it is.  I'm looking at grabbing one of these and connecting it to this, which I already own.

That should do it right?
