Convert Wiindows VIsual C++ with MFC to MAC OS Code

I have an application written in Visual C++ MFC with a lot of old code. A number of clients have requested a Mac version of the application. They are not interested in installing Windows on an Intel Mac nor do they wish to utilize Boot Camp, VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop. They are true Mac diehards.

I know that Cold Warrior has discontinued the development of resources that would compile either Windows or Mac versions of the core code of a program while integrating the appropriate libraries for each OS.

Is there anything out there to replace Code Warrior? Something that would be able to convert Windows Visual C++ with MFC to code, including the corresponding libraries, that then could be compiled for MAC OS Classic and OS X?

Also, is MAC OS X as dependent on OOP and a grand event loop for controlling an application's operation as it was in the past? Is the underlying logical structure of Windows software and MAC software still so foreign to each other that I would end up having to tear apart and rewrite much of the Windows code in order for it to conform to the MAC?

Thank you for your time,
SilverJade

To Qlemo, Zone Advisor, and Zoppo:

I had no intention of posing the same question multiple times. Indeed, I was trying to pose the one question one time, but each time I hit the submit button, I was kicked out of experts-exchange without receiving a confirmation that my question had been accepted.

It wasn't until the next morning that I saw the "Your Question has yet to receive a comment" email three times that I knew that you had received my question at all.

Believe me, I find no joy staying up late, typing and submitting the same text again and again, staring at the monitor, while looking in vain for some confirmation.

My apologies for any inconvenience I may have caused.

SilverJade
EE Bugs zone crew,

The  three times I tried to submit my question, I was rewarded with the infamous "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" page. Neither pushing the Explorer back arrow or the refresh button brought me back to the page I was on before I hit the submit button.

Since I had no feedback that my question had been received, I signed on again and resubmitted my question. Again, no feedback. I did this twice. I had no confirmation that my question had been received until the next morning when I saw three "Your question has yet to receive a comment" emails in my inbox.

So... to sum up: the feedback routine did not function correctly -- indeed, not at all -- for me.

I hope this was just an isolated glitch that won't pop up again. All of us who program can sympathize with your having to deal with this kind of bug, or pseudo-bug.

Good luck,
SilverJade.
