cost effective backup solution

Basically have a couple folders on pc that need to backup, need to keep data no longer than 2 weeks, so after 2 weeks it would purge anything older.  windows backup don't allow, haven't found anything cost effective that can do it. Anyone familiar with a product that will?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would try something online, like mozy. Then it's automatic, online, and it should run you maybe 100 bucks for the year.

not an option as this pc doesn't have internet access.

So where do you want to back up the files to? A local server?

no, we are going to use a usb drive

If you don't have internet access just use a USB thumb drive.
If it's only a couple of files you can copy them to the USB drive manually or use a software like Comodo Backup for free.

Or were you thinking of a local backup to a network drive?
sarasotamacIT ManagerCommented:
If you are just plugging in a USB drive to copy some folders maybe you should do just that, drag and drop to the USB? If you are going to have to manually plug in the USB drive whenever you need it to back up it seems like you could just do that and save a few dollars.

But if you want it automatic you could try this http://www.backupusb.com
Looks like its about $20.00.
