GPS Problem

I have a Garmin GPS Map 62st gps. When I connect it with my PC and run Basecamp software by Garmin, the blue-screen-of-death pops up and the PC reboots. On my laptop this does not happen. I have re-installed Basecamp and it seems that the problem has not been solved. Garmin Support informed me that this has to do with some conflicts on my OS.

Please help.

Please provide details as to what OSes are running on your PC and laptop.  If it's the same OS, then confirm whether a powered USB hub makes a difference or a different USB port.

Attach please find OS info.

The connection is a problem with direct USB connection and through powered USB.

The problem with my GPS has been solved after uninstalling a capture driver. However a new problem has emerged. When I reboot the PC, the blue-screen-of-death pops up again. So I sense some hardware problem either with my hard disks or another driver.
