Has anybody gotten a jnlp applet to work inside the applet viewer (sun.applet.AppletViewer)?

I have the following HTML which points to a JNLP file on my server:

<applet code="MyTestApplet" width="800" height="600">
	<param name="jnlp_href" value="http://testserver/Applet.jnlp"/>
	Your browser doesn't support the <code>applet</code> tag...

If I load the HTML file into Chrome the applet loads up and works as expected.

If I execute the following command:

appletviewer applet-test.html

I get the following error:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: MyTestApplet
        at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(
        at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(
        at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(
        at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(
        at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader(

I have an automated testing tool which requires applets to be running in the appletviewer to work correctly.

Any ideas?
