Publish desktop in XenApp 5

In order to publish a desktop do we have to install xenApp on that
Or can we publish any desktop , say a server which has some applications installed.

These Servers which we were trying to publish are actually Windows 2008 terminal servers and have all applications installed on them that users access.

Can we install XenApp 5 on them .. Will it cause any issues .. or it is fine .. the only reason i ask is because all the applications are already installed on them

Installing Terminal Services and XenApp AFTER applications are installed is not good. The applications have not been installed with the right registry key settings for multiple user access. I would give you 99% chance the apps will need to be reinstalled.

So , i add the Terminal server top the Farm and then can publish the desktop , it that what you mean and there are no issues doing so most of the times.
