Hi,

I have a virtual machine Virtual Center server which I would like to move from one cluster to another. How can I do this?
=> I cannot move it while it is running, so I have shut it down. I cannot move it directly on an ESX either (when I unregister it, I don’t see the option to register it on another machine) also.

Please advise.

Is this located on SAN, Local Storage?

Do you want to move it to another datastore on local ESX server?

look at my Article here, Step 6 - Register the cloned/copied virtual machine with the Inventory

Is the vCenter VM on shared storage to the host you wanna move it to? If so, power down vCenter, log into the host it's currently on, rt-click on the VM, and select Remove from Inventory. DO NOT SELECT DELETE FROM DISK!!!

Log into the 2nd host you want vCenter VM on, browse the datastore the vCenter VM is on, rt-click on its .vmx file, select 'Add to Inventory'. That should work.
