Hello all,

We have an Intel Modular Server with 3 identical blades running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. I'm trying to install the latest Intel NIC drivers, but they will generate an error and fail on the second server. Here is the error:

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while trying to install it.

Intel(R) 82575EB Gigabit Network Connection

This operation requires an interactive window station.

The NIC drivers installed fine on the other two servers. This is the only one with problems.
The only two roles on this server are File Services and Remote Desktop Services.

I used selective startup to disable all services but Microsoft's, disabled the AV, ran SFC to look for corruption... nothing.
