Can you rename the ZIP file to .pptx and try to open the PowerPoint?

I have a Power Point 2010 file that I uploaded to our web server. When I tried to download the file from Windows 7, it is downloaded as a pptx file but if I download it from Windows XP, it is downloaded as a zip file and when I extracted it, the folder does not show the presentation. I do not understand why this is happening. Is there anything special that I have to do &nbsp;so that the file is not downloaded in the zip file on Windows XP?
