Unable to Search for Items in Exchange 2010 Mailbox from Prior to Migration

Experts:

I have beaten my head against the wall on this one and I need your help.  We are in the process of migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.  Single mailbox server on each side (2003/2010), single domain - everything pretty standard with no odd variables that I can find.  We've moved a couple of dozen mailboxes with about a hundred left to go, and everything seems to have gone perfectly except for one mailbox - mine, of course!  It was the first "real" mailbox migrated after we ran a couple of test mailboxes.  No other mailboxes have exhibited this problem...

I am unable to search for e-mails in my mailbox that have a date from prior to the mailbox move (01/12/2012).  The e-mails are all there, it's just that the search function won't find them unless they are dated 01/12/2012 or later.  This seems to be true even using "Advanced Find," no matter what PC I am using, and even in OWA.  I have tested it with and without Windows Search 4.0 and on Windows 7.  I have not tested any other MAPI clients, because only Outlook 2003, 2010, OWA, or the new Outlook Web App are acceptable clients under my policy.  Other migrated (Exchange 2010) users are NOT experiencing this issue and they use a mix of XP, Win7, and Outlook 2003/2010.  Searches on non-migrated (Exchange 2003) mailboxes are equally normal.

Only me.

My mailbox is not especially large compared to others, and I believe I have followed exactly the same procedure for all mailbox moves.  As I said, mine was the first "live" mailbox moved, and the only one moved that day.  Others have been moved singly or in small groups on several subsequent days.  Can anyone think of a reason for this behavior, and even better yet - a solution??

Thank you!!!

I'm a little leery of re-building the index, although I think I understand the process.  Is it relatively safe to move a 2010 mailbox back to a 2003 store?  I'm not opposed to trying, since we have tested our granular backup successfully - but if you have advice, I would appreciate it.
If Outlook is in cache mode, it’s using the windows search and indexing.
You can try  these links :

Fixing Instant Search >http://www.msoutlook.info/question/47

When Outlook is in online mode it is using Exchange search. Then you can then use the link from the expert above
I would suggest move mailbox to another db in same Exchange 2010 server. If another DB is present. If not you can create new DB and move your mailbox only. This way you can identify, if it is related to index issue for current db.
Sirakov:  We never use cached mode, but thank you for your response.

Amitkulshrestha: Thanks - will try creating and using a new DB.
Most excellent!  I created a second DB on the new server, moved the mailbox, then moved it BACK to the first DB.  About an hour after reconnecting to the mailbox, indexing was complete and ALL e-mails were searchable.  Thank you very much for the advice!!!!
