With the release of Windows 8 inching closer I would like to get a better idea of how Microsoft's Metro might handle the back end of things that are currently done by ASP.Net and ADO.Net?

Currently it sounds like everything I'm hearing about Windows 8 deals with the front end using XAML/C#, XAML/C++, and HTML5/JS, but how might enterprise apps be developed that depend heavily on a back end in Metro. As far as I know there has been no mention of such a technology for Metro and WinRT apps.

If their are no official facts out there then any predictions would be welcome.
