SBS 2008 certain incoming messages being rejected
SBS 2008 has been in operation with no problems for over 8 months. All of a sudden a week ago, a few incoming messages started bouncing back to the sender with the following diagnostic information:
#550 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service reported an error. The following information should help identify the cause of this error: "MapiExceptionNotFound:16. 18969:D228 0000, 17.27161:00000000780000000 0000000010 0000000000 000, 255.23226:00000000, 255.27962:0A000000, 255.27962:25000000, 255.17082:0F010480, 0.27745:80030400, 4.21921:0F010480, 255.27962:FA000000, 255.1494:00000000, 255.26426:25000000, 4.9780:BFF9FFFF, 4.14900:0F010480, 4.1509:0F010480, 4.7950:0F010480, 255.1750:00000000, 0.26849:00000000, 255.21817:0F010480, 0.17361:2D000000, 4.19665:0F010480". ##
I have tried to find a solution to this online but I can't seem to locate one that works.
I downloaded and installed Exchange 2007 SP3 and that did not correct the issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this happening for a single user?
ASKER
No. It is happening to more than one user
As per this kb, you need to install Exchange 2007 SP2
However Exchange 2007 SP3 is out for more than a year.
Please use this tool if you are going to install SP2 first before installing SP3

I have more information to add that might shed some light. All emails without attachments, incoming and outgoing, are getting through. Incoming mail with attachments are being rejected and returned to the sender. Outgoing emails with attachments are going out, but without the attached files.

The solution for this issue is to create a new Mailbox Database and then move the mailboxes over to the new database.
