Hello -

I have a client running SBS 2003 and they are looking to move to real Windows 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010.  They have grown quite a bit and are acquiring new hardware for the new systems.

My questions is can I simply install one 2K8 server as an Exchange 2010 server and transfer all mailboxes to it.  Then add another W2K8 server as a file\print\DC server, dcpromo it, and transfer file shares and other network services to it.

Once both servers have all data moved to them, I'll remove Exchange and dcpromo the SBS server and be done.

I think this will fly but I am not 100% sure.  I know SBS has a hard coded limit of 75 users and I want to be sure that will go away with this process (ie it is not some attribute in AD that will get migrated over).

Please let me know if this sounds good or if I am crazy ;)

Thanks in advance -

Brad
