Search not working on SharePoint Foundation 2010

I have had SharePoint Foundation 2010 running for a while on one of our Servers with the search function working well. The Databases run on our dedicated SQL server running SQL Server 2008.

I needed to move the SharePoint installation to another server.
I installed SharePoint Foundation 2010 on the other server, connected it to the exsiting server farm and removed SharePoint from the the server it was running on before. I created the new search database and pointed the content databases to use that.
SharePoint and all my sites are running well on the new install, but I am getting the following search error for both sites.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The start address sts4://site1.domain.com/contentdbid={358ae624-43ec-4079-b286-12180994cae8} cannot be crawled.

Context: Application 'Search_index_file_on_the_search_server', Catalog 'Search'

Details:
An unrecognized HTTP response was received when attempting to crawl this item. Verify whether the item can be accessed using your browser.   (0x80041204)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have already tried the "Disable the loopback check" option as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896861
This has helped me with these type of search errors before, but not this time.

Can anyone suggest anything else?

@Tehzar .. Thank that got the search working.

I am however getting another error. For some reason sharepoint is still trying to look at the old search database which no longer exists.
How can I get rid of this error?
