I have a form (frmICMTAllForms) with a tab control element (ICMTTabs). There is currently only one tab (AwarenessTab).

I designed the form originally to NOT be on a tab.

Accordingly, I used:

Me.Form.AllowAdditions = False
(etc etc through several controls)
varnewfilter = ("[IsClosed] = 0")
Me.FilterOn = True

In the forms onload event to kick off the filter I want be default.

However, now I've embedded the form (as a subform) on a tab I can't for the life of me reference everything correctly to get the filter to work without throwing up errors.

I have seen : http://access.mvps.org/access/forms/frm0031.htm
and : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb243813(v=office.12).aspx

But I cant get my head around it. Can someone please help?

Thanks!

Ross
