SQL monitoring and thrid party tools

Hello All,

I am in the process of exploring and evaluating thrid party tools for 15+ SQL servers at my work.

For:
Monitoring SQL server (most expensive queries, blocks, usage CPU/HD, file size, alerts, index frag, stats etc..)
Schema comapre between servers
Data compare between replication servers
Database point in time recovery, compressed backups and restores

These are the basic needs as of now but if there is package contianing these tools plus more would work the best as well.

Can anyone please sugggest me good thrid party tools for my need and share their experience (pros and cones)

Thanks,
Brook

Redgate and Quest are best in the market but they are expensive. For free stuff you can consider SQLNexus, PAL etc
Redgate also has Data Compare and SQL Compare as part of their Developer Bundle:

I've used both with great success in a recent project.

Thanks all.

I just looked at the Quest because I never heard of it before.

They have LiteSpeed for backup compression. How is it and point in recovery using it? I don't hear much +ve reviews on point in time recovery.

Also, how is the Spotlight tool for SQL monitoring? Any comparision between RedGate and SpotLight monitoring tools?
