I'm trying to set up a maintenance script that will automatically reset a VPN tunnel on a firewall that we use here, based on some particular conditions. I haven't really used Python much but I figured this would be a good opportunity to get deeper into it.

The idea I have is that when the conditions are met, the script will open an SSH connection to the firewall, run the associated commands, disconnect, and send an alert message out.

The stumbling block is that I really don't know how to work with SSH using Python. Any suggestions on what to use or where to look?
