Demoted a Domain Controller but Server still authenticating to that
Demoted the domain controller DC3 last night. But I can still see some servers are authenticating to it when I run set command.
THat DC did not have any FSMO roles, DHCP or DNS.
Why the server still shows that and how do I point to the right DC? I don't wand to reboot the server, it is in prodution. I do not see any visible issues either.
Please advice.

In Active Directory Sites and Services is the server still listed here? Is it still registered as a Global Catalog server?

That's right its still there. Someone did not tell me truth and rescheduled to demote tonight, not last night. Will I have to reboot servers that authenticating to that currently? Or they will be pointed to another DCs automagically?

I mean reboot the server clients authenticated to that DC.
