I just got a question answered about creating a stored procedure to update two joined tables.
In addition to getting my question answered by CodeCruiser I also got some advice and comments from two other experts: ToddBeaulieu and Masteraco.
I wish there was better channels for interacting with them, but since there isn't I want to ask if there are tutorials on the net that focuss on stored procedure.
I tried looking for books but didn't find any dedicated to stored proceudres except one or two that appear to be out of date or for advanced sql programmers.
The rest seem to teach SPs as part of Sql Programming as a whole.
I am obviously a complete beginner in many aspects of programming. I was putting off sql programming until I get a better grip on C# and Asp.net which interest me the most.
The problem is programming doesn't allow you to wait. An application needs you to know both the language and the database.
Any way, my question is this: any good and not too advanced material that would introduce me to the basics of stored procedure with as many examples as possible?
