Hi,
I have to write a script that installs an .msp service pack update.

The command I want to use is:
start /wait msiexec /update "C:\Software\ServicePack.msp" /qn

This works OK, but an older update script I've found uses this command:
msiexec /update "C:\Software\ServicePack.msp" /qn REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus

My question is what do the REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus options do? And do I need to use them?

Thanks for your help
