I have been given the task (lucky me!) of create infopath forms that will be used in our Sharepoint site. &nbsp;So, never having used this application and not knowing a thing about it, I have been going over training sites and researching. &nbsp;However, either I am missing something very fundamental or am blind, but how does the Infopath data fields get linked to the underlying data table? &nbsp;That is, how do I connect the form to fields in a database? &nbsp;If anyone has suggestions on reading/sites, would be appreciated. &nbsp;I have all kinds of informationon how to create a form, but nothing seems to relate it so a storage place for that data!<br />

Infopath form - how does data get back to datbase?

Most development for the Microsoft platform is done utilizing the technologies supported by the.NET framework. Other development is done using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for programs like Access, Excel, Word and Outlook, with PowerShell for scripting, or with SQL for large databases.
